Hannah did better than expected today as I mentioned earlier. we are with her now in the PICU where she will stay intubated overnight to monitor her and have her start to breath on her own in the morning sometime. they are keeping her calm and sedated so she is just resting.
John and I will head home tonight too to get some rest of our own, as tomorrow when we return will be more of a challenge when she is awake and wants to be crawling around as normal.
the next 3 weeks we will need to somehow keep things off her face and out of her mouth…should be easy, right?
we also now know more about her hearing and what our next steps will be…yet another long road ahead, but certainly one that can be traveled.
